BH checking

Yesterday visited my BH again to check it condition plus to do some maintenance.

1. Check the Temp and Humidity of the BH
2. Increased the humidifier cut off point to 86% from 85%
3. Check for any new bird shit spot and new bird nest
4. Check the amplifier and some tweeter working status: Replaced a faulty ext-tweeter
5. Add 2 ext-tweeter at the entrance hole to the roving area from the roof opening, add a new tweeter to other entrance hole as well.
6. Spray some Ammonia to the BH

Now the BH is with 6 bird nests and a new bird nest marking.....
I am wondering should get "Good" ext bird sound or to apply "Aroma" as to attract more bird to enter and stay at my BH!!!!!!!!!!

Which one should do first.. or have to do both?

BH Temperature and Humidity after installed Humidifier

Here the BH Temp and Humidity from 08 - 25 July 2009 after installed Humidifier with turn on and cut off point at 80% and 85% respectively. Found during hot day the teperature is still high, adjusted the humidifier cut off point to 86% to see what is the effect in next few week again. I also add a digital timer to turn off the machine from 6 pm - 8 pm as to avoid the noise generated from the humidifier during the swiftlet homing time.

My BH is with 2 different types of entrance hole.
This is an open roof type at the front side and there is a pool to cool the BH.

Currently there are 6 bird nests, there is no CCTV installed and I am not sure the popular entrance holes of the swiftlet of the BH!!!! For the open roof, sometime I visit the BH and can see some swiftlet flying in & out.

This is one of the "tenant" in my BH doing feeding to the baby swiftlet.

Un-fortunately, there was a dead baby swiftlet from this family.

A New Bird House at Cheng Melaka with 2 different Type Entrance

I notice a new brid house started operate about a month ago in Cheng, Melaka. The BH is on top of a show room cum warehouse. This BH having 2 entrances, Open roof on the left side and dog kennel on the right side.

Replaced new ext. sound and installed Humidifier last week

Last week, I replaced new ext. sound I bought from Nest Tech during an Swiftlet Farming Equipment Expo. A new toy, Humidifier is installed in my BH as to increase the Humidity and also to cool down the BH as well.
